How Furlong UK works
Each morning Furlong reads the full form for every runner at every British and Irish meeting: recent runs and margins, performance ratings, the official handicap mark, class, trip, going, course, headgear, and the jockey and trainer. It rates every horse against the rest of its field and turns that into a win chance for every runner.
It never sees a price. No odds, no market moves and no betting data go into the model.
How the record is kept
Every race is graded each morning against the official result, with non-runners removed and the field re-ranked, exactly as in Australia. Nothing is hand-picked.
Champions Day, Ascot, 17 October 2026. Furlong's best day yet: top pick won 25 of 60 races across eight meetings (41.7%), placed 70%, winner in its top four 81.7%. At Ascot it had Almeraq, Ombudsman and Fifth Column on top before the off; Fifth Column won the Balmoral Handicap at 22/1 from a field of 20. Level stakes on every top pick that day returned +25.7 units at SP.
